OCTOBER SOCCER
The birds are flying south in the sky,
people are raking leaves.
Leaves turn the different colors of
red, orange, green, and yellow.
Squirrels are gathering nuts for winter.
A soccer ball flies through the air
into the goal.
The birds are honking as they’re flying south.
I hear the wind swishing from my room.
The children are jumping and giggling in the leaves.
The boys and girls are screaming and cheering
during the soccer game.
I feel a breeze that has
become cooler during autumn.
I pick up a dry leaf,
it feels hard and crunchy.
I smell the sweet breezes
that feel refreshing.
I feel my sweat dripping down my face
during my soccer practice.
I can taste the crisp cool apple
in my mouth.
I lick my lips after I sip the cider,
it tastes sugary to me.
I can almost taste the pumpkin pie
my mom is making at home
while I play soccer
on an October day.
