The Liberty’s Greeting

Lady Liberty stands there

In her green dress

With a torch in her hand

To chase the darkness away

And let the shining torch

Lead the way to a brand new life

Lady Liberty stands in the sun and the rain

Throughout the deep dark night

And the shiny bright day

Welcoming immigrants

Whenever they see her

Poor or rich she greets them all

Lady Liberty, a sign of freedom

To all Americans

From all across the land

And the sea

She calms us all

After our long journey to New York.
