One day in the summer I was in New Jersey. On this day I met up with our family friends the Githens. Brooke is 10, Taylor is 12, Catherine is the mom and Bill is the dad. Together we were going to SIX FLAG GREAT ADVENTURE. I was super exited. Well, so was every one else. We split into two cars. I went in one car with Carly, Taylor, Brooke and their parents. Sasha, my cousin Patrick and my parents were in another car.
By our house it was a beautiful day but as we started to get closer to Six Flags it got darker and darker and then it started to rain! We were all so upset we want to go so badly. We all thought we would just turn back and go home. But we stopped at a gas station to talk to each other. The parents got out and started to talk. They turned back and looked at us a lot (I don’t know why but they did). When they came back to the car my mom said “We are going to go and see if the weather clears by the time we get there” I grew a smile on my face.
When we got to Six Flags we parked and started to walk into the park. Some of the rides were open but some were closed because of the rain. We went on Nitro first and it got my heart beating real fast. It was so fun we went on it again. After we got off the ride the second time it was sunny. I was so happy that we didn’t go back home. Now all of the rides were opening again and so we went to the other rides like Batman and Superman, El Toro, and Green Lantern.
But then … it was time for KING DA KA!!!!!!!! I was so terrified. The ride goes all the way up, and then all the way down, well then a couple of bumps but that’s nothing. As we walked over to King Da Ka I got more scared at every step.  We got in line and I was shaking and I started to cry. I started to second guess myself much more than two times. We waited in line for what felt like an hour but in a blink of an eye we were next to go. The cart in front zoomed off and our cart came in. I nervously stepped into the cart and sat down. There were a lot of straps so you are safe. I thought that I was going to pee myself. The cart moved on to the starting area and I wanted to scream so loud. Then I heard a “click” and then… ZOOM you’re off. I’m screaming in total fear, excitement and because I had to go pee. As I come over the hill I totally freak out and then “oh no” the cart turns over the hill. I feel like I am going to die. My face feels like it is being pushed back and as we got closer to the ground I felt like I was going to die. Then it swoops you up and you go over two big hills. It was the best!
It was the best day I ever had I hope we come back next year!
