Stranded
One cloudy summer day Jake and his dad were in their boat. “How do you like the boat ride?” asked Jake’s dad. “I love it!” replied Jake. “This is the best boat ride ever!” Suddenly it started raining. “Get in the cabin.” said Jake’s dad. Jake ran in cabin. He shut the door behind him. Jake heard his dad screaming. He opened the cabin door just in time to see his dad get blown off the boat. The wind blew Jake in the cabin. The wind also shut the cabin door. Jake didn’t bother trying to open the door. He was too tired. He fell asleep. When he woke up he heard a soft wind blowing. When he opened the door he said “where am I?”
He saw birds flying in the sky. He could see monkeys swinging in trees. He could see the palm trees a few yards away. He could feel the soft wind blowing in his face. He could feel the nice warm sun on his back. He could smell the salty sea. He could see the bananas on the trees.
When he looked back he saw that the motor was broken. It looked impassable to fix without a toolbox. He got out of the boat and got a banana out of a tree. He unpeeled the banana and ate it. It tasted so good. Jake was really worried. He was stranded on an island without his dad. He didn’t notice how tired he was. Before he knew it he passed out. When he woke up some of the bananas were covered in sand. That was before he noticed how wet he was. It must have rained last night. Jake said to himself. He only saw a few bananas that he could still eat. He ate two of them.
A few days later while he was looking for fresh water in the boat he stumbled upon a hatch. Without thinking he opened it. He found a tool box. “Hay” Jake said. “I could use this to fix the motor. 1st he fixed the propeller. He used the screwdriver to screw the propeller on the motor. Then he screwed on a couple screws that came out. It was hard work. After a lot of screwing, hammering he was done.
He was ready to put the boat in the water. Then he put the last three bananas on the boat. After he pushed the off the sand he started the motor. He pushed the pedal and the boat zoomed out to sea.
Then he saw a man flouting on his back in the water. He stopped the boat. He recognized that face. “Dad.” yelled Jake. Jake heard nothing. He must be un-conches or dead Jake said to himself. He didn’t want to believe that his dad was dead. He dove in the water and brought him on the boat. Jake could here his dad breathing. He was alive!
Jake started the motor again.
When he got back to the dock he parked the boat. Then he called 911 and an ambulance came and took his father to the hospital.
Then he walked home. When he got to his house his mom was waiting. “What took you so long and were is dad.” she axed. “Let me tell what happened.” Jake said. Then Jake told his mom what happened. “I am glad you are safe.” said Jake’s mom after Jake finished the story.
Then Jake’s mom gave Jake his dinner which was pizza. Then Jake went to bed.
