Watching a Baseball Game
Team’s up by one in the ninth,
But the pitcher’s in a jam.
Bases loaded, two outs,
And a full count on Lamb.
I stand up near the TV,
Waiting for some action.
I can’t take much more suspense,
From this intense attraction.
Finally the pitcher chooses a pitch,
After the catcher shows the sign.
And in case you haven’t noticed,
This game is on the line.
The pitcher throws a forkball,
I can’t wait to see the results.
After the pitch I say out loud,
“You just had to walk the tying run home didn’t you?”
