Leaving for Kiawah
Have you ever left for vacation without all your family? Did you ever think you forgot to do something? Or forgot to pack something? Well that’s part of being 10 years old and I’ve done that.
I was flying with my grandparents. Everyone else was driving. Before leaving I said good bye to everyone but my dad. I was mad at my dad so I didn’t say good bye to him. Now I wished I had. I realized that just because I was mad at my dad that is no reason not to say good bye.

My dad was at home crying because he wished I had said good bye. He didn’t understand why I didn’t say good bye. He knew I was mad at him but he thought that was no reason not to say good bye. My dad was coming on vacation too, so he had to leave even though he was very sad.

My plane had just arrived at the airport and I stretched while I got out of my seat. I maneuvered out of the tunnel with my grandparents. We rushed to get our luggage. The airport was so crowded and busy we were dodging people and swaying side to side. It was like we were in traffic because there were so many people but a ton of people were moving super fast. Finally we got to the luggage carousel but we had to wait for a while because no luggage was coming out. Eventually we figured out that we were at the wrong carousel so we moved to the correct one. After a little bit of waiting my grandparents’ luggage came around then mine. We walked out front with our luggage and we waited for a little bit for our family to come pick us up so we came inside and called them.
Unfortunately they said they weren’t going to be here for at least another hour. I passed time by playing with my grandma’s I pad. Finally they arrived. I apologized to my dad for not saying good bye. We made up and were so happy together.
