Where I am From
I am from baseball cards in my case, the Nook on my desk, the TV in the living room, the baseballs in the bucket and footballs in the garage.
I am from the trees in my backyard, the tree stand where I sit and read, the worms under the rocks, the deer munching on the grass, the baseball backstop, and playing catch with my dad.
I am from the baseball fields in Westport , the football fields in town where I play middle linebacker, and Bertucci’s restaurant in Westport
I am from Uncle Tony and his baby boy Dominic, Great Grandma Rose, and Uncle Brian
I am from “Put your shoes near the door,” Clean up your room,” and “Get your backpack out of the car!”
I am from freshly baked stuffed bread on Christmas, Easter ham, and my mom’s great lemon chicken.
I am from the back woods path that leads to my school play ground.
