The last ray of sunshine
Is the last light of day
Beaming through the trees
Like a spotlight in a play
The last ray of sunshine
Is a smile on a baby’s face
Shining down on me
Like a sweet chocolate taste
The last ray of sunshine
Is a hope upon the land
Leading them to light
Or giving them a hand
The last ray of sunshine
Is a sliver of apple pie
Lighting up the day
And is now saying goodbye
