Sky
The sky arcs
A vast, unbroken airiness
Where small clouds tiptoe timidly
And birds bow their heads in reverence.
A soaring infinity
Of endless blue space.
Oh, to swoop through the sky
To feel a cloud’s fine trickle on my face
To bask in the azure heavens
Until I tumble back to duty-bound Earth.
