Where I’m From

I’m from rock ‘n’ roll.

The sound of instruments,

Ringing in my ear.  

I’m from the sound of baseballs.

Hitting the glove

Right when I catch it.

I’m from playing in the water

Pools, lakes, ponds, oceans, it doesn’t matter…

Drip-drop-drip-drop.

I’m from my dog Lucy,

Where barks and ringing bells are signs she’s near.

I’m from video games

X-box wii and ps3,

with clicking controls and familiar sounds.

I’m from the nice sounds of birds chirping

When I wake up,

Hair all messed up.

I’m from a loving family

When I’m hurt, they help me up

When I’m sad, they cheer me up.
