Monarchs
Strong and silent they may be
Flutter slow and silently
Though land on you, you may wish
Bright Halloween
Deadly poised
To all those who lay finished
Have faced the queen’s
Strong death penalty
Found migrating
Across the nation
Past mountains and creations
From Canada Mexico
A big Halloween blob
Of a gifted creature of the earth
