Last Summer
Last summer I was so excited because I was going to Norway to see my grandpa and grandma. The best part was that Luke was coming. Usually he does not come. Even if he is a boy and one year younger than me at least it’s a friend, well more like a cousin. Wait am I still dreaming? I think I might be. “OUCH,” I woke up. I was just hit by my baby sister Nina and we just arrived at the shore in Norway . I got out of the car. I was still a little dizzy after the trip. But as I got out I started to feel better. I saw the ocean from the little island where I was staying in my grandparent’s vacation house and I could see all the way to the little city about half a mile away. As I came closer I heard the soft sound of the rustling water and the sound of the motor boat whooshing past the dock. As I looked back at the road I came from, I saw the long hill that we had driven down. And the more I looked around the more I realized that a lot was different. The dock had a fresh painted layer of wood and the road had a lot more rocks than last year. “Either this place got a lot of changes or my eyes are still sleepy” I pointed out. Everybody laughed. After everyone stopped laughing, we all un-packed the car. I didn’t really want to do all that work on vacation so I asked my grandpa if he could take me to the house so I could see Luke and Kyler my cousins. Luke was one year younger than me and Kyler was one year younger than Nina so that makes him two years old. But I don’t care how old they are I just wanted to see them.
